Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Robinpad community forum (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

Robinpad is a personal experimental project by Roberto Nieto (Syntetyc) that consists of:

  • A drawing app that runs locally in your browser. Your drawings are stored on your own device and are not transmitted to our servers.
  • A community forum where supporters of the project can discuss topics related to Robinpad, share work, request features, and provide feedback.

The Service is provided free of charge as a community resource.

3. Account Registration

To participate in the community forum, you must sign in with a Patreon account. By signing in, you:

  • Confirm that you are at least 13 years of age.
  • Agree to Patreon's own Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
  • Authorize Robinpad to receive your basic Patreon profile information (display name, username, email, avatar) as described in our Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to refuse service, suspend, or delete accounts at our sole discretion, particularly in cases of Terms violation.

4. User Conduct

When using the community forum, you agree not to:

  • Post content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Post content that infringes on any third party's intellectual property rights.
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation.
  • Spam the forum with repetitive content, advertisements, or promotional material.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other users' accounts, or our infrastructure.
  • Use the Service for any commercial purpose not explicitly approved by us.

5. Content You Post

You retain ownership of the content you post to the community forum. By posting content, you grant Robinpad a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, and display that content in connection with operating the Service.

You are solely responsible for the content you post. We do not pre-screen user content but reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms.

6. The Robinpad Drawing App

The drawing app is provided as a local-first tool. Your work is stored on your own device. We do not back up, sync, or have access to your drawings. You are responsible for your own data. We are not liable for any loss of your drawings caused by clearing your browser data, using a different browser, device failure, or any other reason.

7. Intellectual Property

The Robinpad name, logo, design, and code are the intellectual property of Roberto Nieto (Syntetyc), unless otherwise noted. The drawing app is open-source; please refer to the project repository for license details.

The community forum software (Forum Pro for Grav) is the intellectual property of its respective authors and is used under license.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Robinpad and its creator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, drawings, or other content, resulting from your use of (or inability to use) the Service.

10. Changes to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Spain, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
