Hi everyone! 🙌
My plan was to publish RobinPad at the beginning of next year because there are still a lot of details to polish. These are mainly regarding the interface, icons, minor painting bugs, and documentation.
I changed my mind after spending several hours on some illustrations and seeing that RobinPad is a robust and useful base for painting, exporting, and using illustrations on print-on-demand products. It is also great for creating brushes and resources. But the most important thing for me is the experience. I really love the experience of using RobinPad. I know it is a very basic painting tool, but I reached the goal I set before starting this project, which was to create a relaxing and cozy experience that mimics the physical world as much as possible.
While painting the robin bird illustration, the one I used for the merch and the social media headers, I enjoyed the experience a lot. Honestly, I thought I wouldn't be able to finish it because of a bug, an input detection error, or a performance issue. However, none of that happened. I finished the illustration seamlessly and stayed relaxed while enjoying the process.
That is why I have decided to launch RobinPad now.
There is still a lot of work to do, as I said, like polishing the interface and documentation details and filling the site with resources. I want to leave RobinPad stable and almost finished so I can start creating tutorials, brushes, and learning content for all of you. I can't wait to stop fixing bugs and start focusing on painting. 😊
