So as you can see from the photo below, I'm struggling here.😅 I've never made a brush in my life so I had fun playing around. But I'm curious what tips does everyone have on creating brushes. I tried to create some grass blades and while it looks okay in the preview space in the brush editor, when putting it on the paper it looks off. Any tips would be great. 🙏
Also I hope I'm posting this in the correct section. If not, my apologies 😅

Hey, the texture of that grass brush isn't half bad 🙌. It can work as a base for the texture, and then you can define the grass with single strokes. I mean, it's very hard to create a brush that generates perfectly finished grass. Painting stylized grass is difficult in itself, or at least it requires a bit of a process.
On the other hand, creating brushes is a process of trial and error. My advice is to experiment and keep trying until you feel comfortable with the brush. I've created many brushes, and each one takes a little time to find its perfect use. It might not be suitable for achieving the most polished grass effect, but rather for laying the foundation for the grass.
And I think I'm going to add a section to the forum dedicated to tips and tutorials.
Thanks. I'm going to play around with it a bit more later today or tomorrow. 😄
