My custom brushes are gone!

I don't know what happened. 😫I hadn't had the chance to use Robin Pad since I think Tuesday, but all of the custom brushes I made are gone. I swore I auto saved everything, but when I try to reload the autosaved workspace, my page where I tested the brushes is still there and the change I made to the button colors saved over.

But the brushes themselves are not showing up, nor is the custom washi tape I uploaded. Please can I get some help with this, I don't understand what went wrong.

My apologies 😭

Could you open RobinPad, do a hard refresh (Ctrl/Command + Shift + R), and check if your brushes are back in the brush editor? I've added a small fix to try to recover the lost data, but it only works if the browser hasn't deleted it permanently.

The data is stored in your browser cache. This is temporary storage, so if you clear your browser data, your data will be lost. This is just to help you understand how the session storage works in RobinPad.

On another note, I made a mistake. The auto-save feature wasn’t configured to save the temporary brushes you’re creating or the custom content within a theme. It was set to save only your paintings. This was a communication error that I overlooked. My apologies 🙏. This should have been noted in the auto-save section.

The good news is that I've already fixed it, and now the auto-save feature saves all the content from your current active session. This includes custom theme content, such as washi tapes, brushes, colors, and all your pages and paintings.

I'm still fixing some details, so other bugs might still appear. The safest way to keep your work is to save your brushes using the 'Save Brush Pack' option in the brush creator and save your theme in the theme editor. You can then import them to continue editing. After some testing, the auto-save feature is now fixed.

Thank you for your understanding and your comments! I really appreciate it!

I'll make sure to reward you for your support once things settle down. 😉

Unfortunately the command didn't bring the brushes back. I swear I did click to save the brushes while I was working on them. I thought I did it a few times even, no for some reason I cannot find them anywhere. I might need to do a bigger search tomorrow, but if I can't get them back, I guess it's no big deal. Honestly, I wasn't too happy with them, so I guess it's not the worst thing ever. But thank for for making the auto-save adjustments so this wont happen again 👍

Okay, that changes things.

If you saved the brushes specifically, a .rbrush file is saved along with them. This allows you to continue editing them in the brush editor or import them through the resources section in settings. If you find that file, you can import it easily. I hope you can find it. 🙏
