Most of the RobinPad's performance is based on pure logic and timing.
Dirty brush improvements
Now, the “Dirty Brush” tool is faster thanks to its “preheating” logic. When you change the size of the color palette (the number of colors in the grid) or the palette’s HSL range, the tool applies those colors to the current brush strokes in the background, ensuring better stroke performance when you actually start painting. It’s already pre-calculated.
In other words, a pre-simulation of what you’re supposed to paint with the current brush is performed in the background.
I'm really happy with this tool because color variations when painting are one of my obsessions 😅. And this tool offers a lot of flexibility for creating paintings that are more true to life, where pigments often produce surfaces with subtle variations due to mixing on the palette or between different colors in the painting itself.
Temp. Brush creator pack
The temporary brush pack has been improved. It now responds more quickly: brushes will update in real time whenever you make changes to their settings during creation.
This is a very useful feature: while you’re creating brushes in the Brush Creator, you can test them as regular brushes in the brush library, using the top selector, you can choose “Temporary Brush Creator” (or the name of the package you’ve created).
So, that's all for now.
I'm still testing the tool and coming across minor bugs or performance issues. The good news is that I think RobinPad is already pretty stable, so I'll soon be able to start creating painting tutorials, more resources, and videos. 😄
Looking forward to more tutorial videos! 😊
