Painting concepts

RobinPad works like traditional painting: simple brushes that leave a stroke, colors that mix the way real paint mixes, and tools that mimic physical objects.

Overall view of the interface: the page in the center, the toolbar on top, the brush modifiers and the color panel on the left, and the page tools on the right.

Painting

Choose the Brush tool, pick a brush from the list and start painting. In the bar above you adjust the size, the opacity, the smoothing and the pressure response.

Next to the brush you have the Smudge, the Eraser, the Pointer (it moves the layer without painting over it) and the Color picker (eyedropper) (it picks up a color from the screen).

Layers, opacity and pressure

Every page has its own layers, like stacked transparencies you can show or hide. The opacity decides how much of each layer shows. And with pressure on, pressing the pen harder or lighter changes the stroke.
