Palettes

A palette is a set of colors you save to use later. In RobinPad you can create your own, export them and import them.

The two tabs

The panel has two tabs:

  • Sets: the palettes for painting, the factory one and the ones you have imported.
  • My Colors: where you add colors by hand and build your palette.

Palettes panel Sets tab showing the palette selector (Default (23)) with the import button, the active palette grid (23 colors in a 6-column layout), and the Recent colors grid below, switch palettes from the drop-down, import JSON or .aco files with the plus button

My Colors tab content showing the 10 / 24 counter, the Export palette and Edit buttons, and the 24-slot grid (10 filled with vibrant colors, 14 empty marked with a plus icon), click a + slot to add the current color, click Edit to delete existing colors

In the Sets tab you pick the active palette from the drop-down. The "My Colors" one works too: you can export it, share it or sell it.

Import and export

To load a palette you already have, use the + button next to the drop-down. It takes two formats:

  • .json, RobinPad's own format.
  • .aco, the Photoshop palette format.

To export, go to the "My Colors" tab and press the export button: a .json file downloads, which you can import again.

Your personal palette

Your personal palette holds a maximum of 24 colors.
