Interface

This is where you change the look and the behavior of RobinPad. Everything you set here is remembered.

The Settings panel on the Interface section, with the five toggles on top and the Page block with its four options.

Language, appearance and title

The language is in Settings › General › Language, and the name on the cover in Settings › General › Notebook title. The appearance is changed in the theme editor: the color of the titles, Light or Dark.

Touch mode

The size, the opacity and the Flow move into a vertical strip, and the recent colors go to the bottom. It's made for fingers, not for a mouse, and it's still in testing.

RobinPad turns it on by itself when it detects a touchscreen, and tells you why. To decide for yourself, turn it off or on by hand; the Auto button hands the decision back to that detection.

Toolbar and pills

  • Invert HUD: moves the toolbar to the other side.
  • Recent Colors pill: the last 6 colors you used, one click away.
  • Status pill: the active tool, your color and the zoom, always in view.
  • Small panels by default: brushes, color and layers open in their compact version.

Page

  • Inner page frame: a visual frame centered on the page, as a guide for creating centered paintings.
  • Hide pad rings: hides the notebook's binder rings.
  • Show off-page safe area: a margin around the page where strokes aren't cut off, so you can paint past the edge without losing anything.
  • Fade the layer when you pick it: when you pick a layer, the rest fades and you see what you're working on.
