The page

A RobinPad notebook is made of separate pages: whatever you change on a page, in its Layers or effects, stays there.

At the bottom of the screen you have the page management bar. In Settings, inside the Page block, you find the Inner page frame: a visual frame centered on the page, to help you create centered paintings.

Clear page

It removes everything on the current page, layers and effects included, and leaves it clean.

Confirmation dialog shown when clearing all layers from a page

It only affects the page you are on: the others are left untouched.

Pagination

It shows the page you are on, and the arrows on either side take you to another one.

You can also change page from the keyboard: Ctrl + [ and Ctrl + ].

Flip page

It flips the page horizontally, mirroring it. It does not change your painting, it is only another way of seeing it, as if you looked at it in a mirror.

Flip toggle in active state highlighting the page is mirrored

It helps you change your point of view while you compose and spot irregularities. The comfortable way is to flip it on and off while you paint.

You can flip it fast with the Ctrl + F shortcut, which you can change in the shortcuts panel.

One detail: with washi tape on the page the option goes dim, because the tape sits on the painting and would end up out of place.

Reorder pages

It shows the pages of your notebook in a numbered mosaic.

You can change the order by dragging each page, or with the arrows that appear when you hover over it. The new order applies to the notebook, so it also changes the export and the display order.

It is useful to sort your pages and see them all at a glance. It only becomes available with at least two pages.

Preview

You can view your notebook in page-flip mode.

It is another, prettier way to show off your paintings. Open it with the P shortcut.
