Storage

Here you see how much space RobinPad is using on your computer.

The Settings panel on the Storage section, with the total, the bar comparing it against the available space, and the breakdown by category.

Where your work is saved

RobinPad saves everything in your own browser, on your computer. Nothing you paint leaves your computer, and that is why there is nothing up in the cloud for you to lose.

How much space there is depends on your browser, and it is not a fixed number: it depends on the computer, the browser and how much you have already used. Since you cannot adjust it, this section always tells you how much is left.

The breakdown

At the top you have the Total, and a bar that compares it with the space available. Below, that total is split into six categories, each with its own weight:

  • Pages: your drawings, layer by layer.
  • Settings: the configuration of your brushes and of the app.
  • Themes: the styles you use and their textures.
  • Brushes: your brush packs.
  • Washi Tapes: the tapes you have placed, page by page.
  • References: the images you have imported or placed.

The numbers only change when you press Refresh, so it is worth doing that after painting or importing something.

Why there are limits

RobinPad is set up so that even if you fill every page with paintings and load brushes and references, the space you get is more than enough.

That is why notebooks go from 1 to 15 pages (you choose how many when you create the notebook, and if you do not touch anything it comes with 15), layers are limited to 24, and the page size is measured in pixels instead of in real physical sizes, with a range of 512 to 4000 px per side.
